Club Background
Atletic Terrassa Hockey was established in August 1952, and its official debut came two months later on October 12th in a match against rivals Club Egara. In 1967 the club purchased land at Can Salas, where the club remains to this day. Construction began in January 1968 and the grounds were officially opened the following year.
Atletic Terrassa Hockey currently has fifty hockey teams in official competitions across the different male and female categories. More than 5,000 members participate in their range of club sports, which have expanded to include hockey, tennis, table tennis, basketball, squash, swimming, gym and other activities focused on improving the health and quality of life of Terrassa residents.
In July 2006, the organisation hosted the Athletic Champions Trophy, the first time that this prestigious competition had been held in Spain. In 2008, Atletic opened its second water based hockey pitch, and in the Autumn of 2009 they opened their new clubhouse, which became the new centre for all Atletic Terrassa teams.
Club Training Facilities
Atletic Terrassa HC has almost unbeatable sporting facilities, both outdoor and indoor that can accommodate the following sports and activities: Hockey, Tennis, Basketball and Mountain Biking. Guests can enjoy two swimming pools, a spa, tennis courts, three field hockey pitches (two water-based), a large multi-functional pavilion and other sporting facilities.
