9th November 2018 – inspiresport are proud to announce a new sponsorship deal with the English Schools Cricket Association. The new multi-year agreement sees the company as title sponsor of the “inspiresport U15 One Day Cup” for 2019 onwards.
Successful County Winners will progress through to the National competition by playing a series of knockout rounds between April and June 2019. The area based mini tournaments see teams split by location – the North, the Midlands, the South & West, and the South East meaning that successful schools have played several games against local opposition before reaching the final stages.
Last year’s champions Tonbridge beat South East rivals New Hall School, St Paul’s School and Eton College before facing Bedford School in the 2018 final at Oakham.
Ken Lake MBE, General Secretary of English Schools Cricket Association said
“We’re pleased to welcome inspiresport as U15 One Day Cup sponsors. Our competition sees teams from across England and Wales competing against each other to develop their own individual skills, but more importantly working as a team to achieve success. They embark on this journey together, with the concept of shared experiences benefitting players in all aspects of their life which fits well with inspiresport’s mission.”
Steve Butchart, CEO of inspiresport added
“This new partnership with ESCA is very exciting for us. It gives us a great platform to engage specifically with cricket players and their coaches to talk about our improved range of inspirational cricket tours both at home and abroad. Touring plays such an important role in cricket from the national team right through to school competitions and offers players opportunities to test their skills in varying conditions whilst making once-in-a-lifetime memories with their team mates and friends.”
